Skippy Says: It's Time (OOTD)

I bet you're wondering why I've been wearing my hair up so much lately when I usually only wear it down. Come on, you know you have. You can't possibly have better things to do with your time other that sit around and ponder my hair styling decisions. Truth is, I need a haircut. Like, really really need one. I only cut my hair twice a year or so, but I've let it go far too long this time. Split ends abound. But I don't just want to cut it on any old day-- I hate getting a haircut and having it look all cute only to come home, sleep on it, and have it look blah again the next day without anyone seeing it in its full recently cut and styled glory. I don't know how much longer I can hold out though. Maybe Ryan will plan a surprise date night for the day I schedule the cut? Wink wink, nudge nudge.

  2. Ok, this is so weird and funny. I've been wearing my hair back/up a lot lately too and it's because I really need a haircut! I almost talked about that today on my blog, how weird would that have been?! Hopefully we can both get to the salon soon... although your hair looks lovely up like this! :) Great color blue also!

  3. This blue is definitely your color! Love the scoop in the back too. Since my hair is finally long enough to put up, I have been taking advantage of it more even thought I don't need a haircut, lol. Heather

  4. That's such a simple, pretty dress, and the belt is such a nice touch. The color looks great on you, by the way!

Oh, and I feel your pain on the hair thing. My bangs need cut and my roots need dyed. Ugh!

  7. I think this means we're meant to be friends :) Or, you know, that we're both lazy :) And it's hard to trust someone with cutting curly hair- I've had so many nightmarish experiences. Your hair looks so great up- I'd love a tutorial on how you do it :)

  15. hahaha...you and me both. In fact, you took the words right out of my mouth. I made an appointment with the hairdresser today. It'll be my first haircut in a year. That's right. You didn't misread the previous sentence. Speaking about your outfit, I like the simplicity of it all.

  16. You brought back my favorite shoes! and I love that dress.

As far as the hair goes, I agree. The worst is cutting your hair and then wasting the beautiful blow out. haha

  19. First of all, I apologize for commenting twice yesterday thinking the first one went away. haha. FREAK! I'm an idiot.

Secondly, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrl, your body is SLAMM'N! Is that weird to say? Ah well, it's true so, honesty is the best policy.

  27. LOL. That's not weird, it's just incredibly sweet. Thank you! It doesn't always feel that way, but its very nice to hear. Just the other day I wanted to tell you your butt looked so cute in your pants but I didn't know if you'd think I was a freak. Going to express those sentiments from now on, at least to you :)

And I've been wearing my hair in the same top knot style forever b/c I need a cut and color but just don't have time, but I can totally relate to wanting to go somewhere fabulous with fabulous hair too. Well, it definitely looks fab in the twisty bun just as is! You want to make a bet on who can hold out longer?!? ;)

  47. Man, I miss Anthropologie (they need a store in Australia)! Lovin' the shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks so much! That's such a bummer you don't have a store there :( They ship there, though, right? But I'm guessing it's insanely expensive if they do. If you ever want me to pick something up for you and send it over for way cheaper (as in just the cost of the actual shipping) let me know!
