You guys like my new beautiful 100% silk mustard colored top? Me too. Or at least I did. I managed to wear it for promptly one hour before getting a grease stain on it. Which is probably a sign from the universe telling me I should lay off the greasy food. A sign I’m going to ignore, but a sign nonetheless. As much as I love silk tops, they don’t hold a candle to Burma Superstar’s samosa soup.

Your top and belt are gorgeous! That said, WHAT is samosa soup? Is it as delicious as it sounds? Cos I would love some right now :D
ReplyDeleteBurma Superstar = so good! I hate waiting in that line, though. Hopefully the drycleaner will be able to get the stain our of your top - it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh my, there are no words to describe the wonder that is samosa soup. You gotta come to SF and try it for yourself :)
ReplyDeleteThat belt is insanely amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou look very cute, and I HATE when that happens! The first day I wore my new J.Crew silk top I leaned in ink at my desk! I youtubed videos on how to get it out (turns out hairspray is a magical thing) I suggest you do it and save that gorgeous top!

I love this combination on you, the tights and the belt are really fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, I always spill things on my poor clothes... ;)
That is why I only thrift silk. I would feel terrible if my klutziness ruined an expensive piece. When it only cost me $4 I care a lot less. The color IS beautiful on you though, and I love that belt. They look great together.
ReplyDeleteMmm ... I love samosas, didn't know they came in soup as well.
ReplyDeleteLove that belt! Good luck on vanquishing the grease stain.
Love that mustard top with that blazer! It looks great with the stripes too!

Please forgive me for getting drool all over your shoes.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Please tell me the top is going to be ok! Because it's all kinds of gorgeous and I'm obsessed over that belt and the skirt and the whole thing is fashion swoonworthy. Love love love!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Grease stains on silk are such a pain. Do you have any good secrets to get them out?
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, your blouse is beautiful - with or without stains. I'd love to see it in action more often.
I love the print on the belt
ReplyDeleteUgh, so many times I have had to forget outfit pictures because I get something on my shirt?!? Samosa soup, that sounds like something worth getting grease-stained for, yum!
ReplyDeleteI just love your playful belt, tights and mustard top. Your shoes are pretty darling too!
ha - you are a girl after my own heart - I spill on everything I shouldn't (aka dry clean only) - that mustard silk blouse is fab and the belt is awesome with it!

Over the summer I had to wear a light grey shirt as part of my work uniform and I never failed to get some kind of food on it. It was really frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI am the grease spot queen, and let me suggest to put flour on the offending spot (yup, just like regular white, cooking flour), leave it to sit overnight and change the flour every morning until the grease has soaked up into it. sounds cray-cray, but i have had success with it!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your photos and your poses are always evolving! Inna I am always impressed with your blog and your style. The blouse is gorgeous, take it to the dry cleaners and the grease stain will be gone!
ReplyDeleteLove the silk top and the belt. Great combination.
ReplyDeleteI am now a new follower.

Cute! I like all of the texture here!
ReplyDeleteI love this look, it reminds me of the latest Burberry collection. I love the mustard colour too and blogged about this colour recently. http://paulatasker.squarespace.com
ReplyDeleteSilk is a nightmare, I'm usually not that messy but whenever I wear something delicate I always have an accidental spillages!
