Last night Ryan and I attended our first ever tango dance class. And not only did Ryan go willingly, he was excited about it. See? I told you he's a keeper. The only caveat is that I'm a little embarrassed my man can move his hips better than I can, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. At least he loves dancing. So much so that all of my friends who have had the pleasure of dancing with him made him promise to save a dance for them at our wedding. And by pleasure I mean...mostly pleasure with a bit of pain and some incidental bruising thrown in for good measure. Because while he's incredibly fun to dance with, one of Ryan's favorite "moves" is to pick girls up and swing them around like raggedy ann dolls. One particularly debaucherous (read: drunken) college night this ended up in him accidentally throwing my flower girl into my roommate's fan and breaking it. And this is probably where I should mention that my flower girl is 26 years old and one of my BFFs so that you don't report him to Child Protective Services.
p.s.- You only have a few days left to enter my giveaway here!

Haha, that is awesome. I have some ridiculous drunken college stories from Kevin and my's past... but unfortunately most of them involve urine or fast food and not dancing :(
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this blouse on you - did you get it at this last Anthro sale? Great pattern mixing :)
That's so cool that he is willing to go to dance lessons! Most men wouldn't be caught dead doing that. He is definitely a keeper :) Super cute top paired with the skirt.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I could totally see myself wearing it to work.
ReplyDeleteYou are funny. This outfit is a great mix of patterns and colors. I like your confidence, it shows in every photo darling. Have a Happy New Year. Cha Cha Cha! Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo
ReplyDeleteI like your pattern mixing! I really want to take a dancing class! Sounds like yours was a blast.
ReplyDeleteLoving the coat and how all the purples and tans go together!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting and promoting that eShakti code! I was poking around trying to best deploy my $20 and waffling over spending the $8 on shipping. I decided to be a Fiscally Responsible Lady and pass it up, so my husband snuck away and ordered me a magnificent wool scarf from them anyway! It's a fantastic garment, and I'm going to wear it all winter. :D
I really want to try dance classes sometime. Hubby seems to be willing, so we'll see. I think this outfit is perfect for a tango lesson!

Thrown around like raggedy ann dolls? Well, that's easy considering we are doll size. hahaha
