I'm not sure how these pre-haircut pictures got away from me, but here's the last shots of me with my long hair. Oh wait, I do know how they got away-- I wasn't sure if I wanted to post them. You see, Ryan wasn't the biggest fan of this outfit. I believe phrases like "color overload" and "box of crayola crayons" came out of his mouth. It's possible that I may have responded by calling him a turd, because, you know, I''m mature like that.

I'm mesmerized by the color of your top. I think it's time (again) that I start nudging my way out of the neutral fog I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI love the bold color on top and bottom. This definitely works girl! I love how you two get into it. HAHAHA Have a great day girl.

Ooh, Skippy, this is a lovely blouse! I love the saturated color and the sexy cut (mitigated by the high neckline - very sultry).
ReplyDeleteAnd tell Ryan to shove it. I think you look great :)
i love that skirt. too bad you can't get it anymore.
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by the blog!

Box of crayolas... what does a man know?
ReplyDeleteI think the outfit looks great! LOVE that skirt!
http://theleatherskirt.blogspot.com/
Glad you shared the outfit, its not crayola at all! I just love the jacket, its unlike anything I've ever seen. The details on your blouse are beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it has too much colour at all! Boys! What do they know?! :P
ReplyDeleteNot too much color at all. The more color the better. My husband makes fun of my big scarves all the time. Heather
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors...and that jacket :)

The Other Side of Gray
I don't think it's too much color at all! Just right :) And I love cobalt and yellow together. Oh, and I say turd all the time - I guess we're both mature.
ReplyDeleteLoving the yellow tights! Perfect match with the lovely skirt you're wearing! :)
ReplyDeletex
This looks like a fantastic outfit to me- there's no such thing as too much color!! And I love the printed skirt with it, too.
ReplyDeleteAmazing outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou always look so unique and fabulous!

Psh, I think this outfit is great! Of course, I'm partial to the blue and gold pairing, so I'm biased.
ReplyDeletewww.chillairandperfume.blogspot.com
Your outfit totally works! Husbands are just like that - mine hates it when I wear colored shoes with a black dress because it "doesn't match." Oh well. I love the blue and yellow color combination, and the skirt really anchors the whole outfit :)
ReplyDeleteRyan is CRAZY! I love mustard tights. As evidenced by this: http://pennilesssocialite.blogspot.com/2011/11/inspired-by-pinterest-navy-and-mustard.html
ReplyDeleteLMAO!! Aww, hubby's aren't always right...
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket :)
Thanks! Yes, color is the best :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! In my world there is no thing as too much color :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna! Lol, I think calling him a turd took care of it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Sorry that skirt is no longer available, but I did link to 2 very similar ones at the bottom of my post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jordan! Exactly my thoughts- stupid boy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Cara!! I wore that jacket so much when I first got it it's all frayed at the sleeves now, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it more :)
ReplyDeleteLol, thanks! I agree :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather! I couldn't agree more :) Boys just do't know any better!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan!! turd.
ReplyDeleteThanks NaNa!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Clara! There is definitely never too much color in my world :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you Cacy!!
ReplyDeleteNo, no, not biased at all :) Thanks Hannah!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!! And colored shoes with a black dress are the best- makes it so fun! I wanted to wear bright pink shoes with a nude dress to Ryan's company's holiday party this year, but that got vetoed :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's the tights he had a problem with so much as pairing them with the bright blue....but what does he know? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Definitely not. I would even go so far as to say they're usually wrong :)
ReplyDeleteNOT color overload, more like color cuteness! I am loving yellow and blue together lately. In fact, I just posted a yellow and blue outfit today! So ha, if two fashion bloggers are doing it, it MUST be cool... right?
ReplyDeleteLol, definitely. You know I'm the epitome of cool :)
ReplyDeleteTell Ryan I think he's a stupidhead (now who's mature?) because I think the outfit is adorable. In fact, and I mean this in an endearing way, it kind of reminds me of Snow White with the bright blue/bold yellow. All you need is a little red and you're set ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, I think your outfit is spectacular! Royal blue and mustard are one of my favorite color combos. :) Those tights are awesome! You look adorable!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't see where the colour overload is! It's absolutely the right amount of colour, some blue and some mustard! :)
ReplyDeletePlus the shoes look super comfortable!
Thanks so much for ignoring him and posting anyway. Gives the rest of us courage to add more color in our lives!
ReplyDeleteGreat style lady! I stumled on your blog from SassyUptownChic... you're adorable. I particularly love your shoe choices!!! and hair = adorable. xo

The mustard tights are great, I always like that color paired with royal blue. Nice outfit.
ReplyDeletewww.lenasblend.blogspot.com
This is not to many colors at all. Half of them are neutrals. I think you look great. I can't keep track of all the 'man-repellers' but I'm pretty sure bright loud colors is on the list. My boy is not a huge fan of them either. But he knows to keep his mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteLove the color of your mustard tights. What a beautiful contrast!
ReplyDeletehttp://mui28blogspot.com
Hehe, thanks Lara! I'll pass the message along :)
ReplyDeleteWell thank you very much!! It's one of my favorite color combos too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! The shoes are really comfy :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! And yes, I do! I'd probably try to keep the rest of the outfit fairly neutral, but I'd wear these tights with a red dress or skirt :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much Lana! So glad you popped by :)
ReplyDeleteSkippy your so cute!! I love that I can see "Pine St" in the back :) Your tights are super cute!! Pretty color on you too!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lena!! It's one of my favorite color combos too :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting- why don't boys like bright colors?!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sayaka! That's funny- I was just noticing the pine street sign too :)
ReplyDeleteHi Skippy!
ReplyDeleteI love those mustard tights. So fresh and cool!
