Skippy Says: Hairy Matters (OOTD)

You guys, I finally did it. I got a haircut. I know I said I was wearing it up a bunch because it was so long, but now I feel like wearing it up because it's so short. Plus, if my papa saw how short it was he might have a heart attack. I'm the only girl on his side of the family, remember? And to my papa, long hair is the epitome of having a little girl. Oh yes, my hair was down to my butt my whole life until freshman year of high school. And when i finally got it cut, my papa was so upset we didn't speak for a few days. So, being the chicken that I am, I've only worn my hair up around him thus far. Anyone want to help me break the news? Oh wait, he reads this blog, so I think I just did. Love you papa!

    Oh no!!!! Ok, well, first let me start with your outfit - it's adorable and those shoes are just amazing. You have the best shoe collection!

    Ok, now onto the hair. I have had this happen SO many times - I get a haircut and come out with it WAY too short and end up wearing it up for weeks. I find that within a week the hair starts looking better and falling better around my face. The tendrils around your face look really cute and I'm sure it's SUPER adorable!!! You will get used to it soon enough and learn to LOVE it :) When I first got my hair cut short I decided I wanted to keep cutting it and haven't turned back since. I used to always keep my hair long, but not anymore! I use way less products now, and my hair is easier to pull back. Is your hair about my length now or shorter? I want to see!!

    First things first, I LOVE your shoes and that kelly green jacket! Such bright pieces, the back of your top is really cool too. I do the same thing, maybe its a curly hair thing. Up if its too long, and up if its too short. Ha, can't wait to see your haircut down!

    I almost couldn't recognize you in that short hair style, but really cute, I like the short curls now. That's a really fabulous green jacket, I love the cut looks good with the fitting top. I love the vintage styled shoes too- so pretty and long lasting too.

    Well, first fo all, than you so much!

    And onto the hair :) It's about your length I think. Pretty much right around the shoulders, but shorter layers in front. You know, I've never had my hair this short, but oddly enough I don't hate it. In fact, I kinda love it. I'm just not used to it at all, so I get so freaked out whenever I see myself in the mirror :) I'll plan on wearing it down in tomorrow's post so you can see :)

    This blazer is so cute on you! Your hair looks great too! I was lucky enough to have an older sister, who did all of the dumb/weird things to her hair first. So I never even got a response when I shaved my head or go a mow-hawk. My parents were hippies though and really didn't mind the hair stuff.

    Love the short hair! Looks awesome on you. And my Dad was the exact same way, always thought woman should have long hair. So one of the first things I did after he passed away when I was in college? Chopped all my hair off. Guess he had more of an impact on me than I ever thought. Thanks for stopping over at my blog!
