In the week I was in Austin, Fall came to San Francisco. The air was brisk when I took Ryder out for his morning walk, so, being the wussy that I am, I put on cashmere gloves and layered two thick sweaters on top of each other. Because of all the heavy clothes I had on, the scale said I gained three pounds during my little vacation. I know what you're thinking and NO, it couldn't possibly be all those sweet treats I ate in Austin. It was my heavy clothes I tell you. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
While layering two bulky sweaters on top of each other is warm, it's not exactly stylin'. And since it was really not all that cold out (around 60 degrees and sunny), I told myself I shouldn't be such a wimp and put on some respectable looking clothes. After all, when we lived in Russia, I used to run around butt naked in the snow. More on that later, but for now please don't call Child Protective Services on my mama.

Love the red jeans of course. I also like how you paired the floral top with the pinstripe blue blazer. Lookin good :)
ReplyDeleteI love your top! And it looks great with the jeans! :)
ReplyDeleteHey now, clothes pack on the pounds!! I'm telling you, it's true! That's why I weigh myself in the nude right before I hope in the shower. Hmmm maybe tmi...hahaha
ReplyDeleteNot wimpy at all! Cold is cold! :) I'm the same way. But you seem pretty small, you get cold easily, no shame in that! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got that blazer brand new for $9! Great find.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! I agree, it has gotten so much colder around here in the last couple of weeks - I have been rocking tights every day since then. And closed-toed shoes! I love that top - it's so pretty and feminine :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! They're only like $35 at Zara stores if you're interested :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Hannah! Have you tried Zara? They were only like $35, and they fit better than a lot of the other cheaper colored denim from places like F21, etc
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather!! I didn't think I'd wear the floral top that much when I bought it, but it has surprisingly turned out to be one of the most worn pieces in my coset. Love it when that happens!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ki!!
ReplyDeleteLol. I know, it's true, but probably not 3 whole pounds if I'm being honest with myself :) Oh well, it was totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteIt's true, but when I was little I used to be so hardcore. Then we moved to CA and I got spoiled with the warm weather, freezing when it's 60 degrees!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Sometimes you can get some great stuff on Ebay!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!! I love this top too, and wear it way too often :) I think it's supposed to maybe be a little warmer today? Here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteI really LOVE the wine red denim! they go especially well with that blue jacket! I lived in Alaska for 8 years but I am still a wuss when it comes to cold. It's barely cold here now, but I am down with a nasty cold and am bundled up with blankets!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura!! I'm so sorry you're sick :( Hope you get better real soon!
ReplyDeleteThe red pants and blue jacket are a great combination.
ReplyDeleteoh i love that blazer! sometimes, when I wear a certain outfit too much, i switch out a cardigan for a blazer! love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristen! I do the same thing :)

ReplyDeleteI do the exact same thing, and then sweat through all my layers, and then get cold. And then my husband tells me how silly I was for wearing so many layers!
