Even though I'm only working part-time right now, I feel far busier than when I used to work full time. Because I can't say no, I end up running around doing various things I've agreed to each day. Every week I think the next one will be less busy, but somehow it never is. Ryan keeps encouraging me to take just one day to sit in my PJs and read and watch TV all day (I know, he's a keeper). As nice as that sounds, that would require saying no, and that part doesn't sound so nice. At least my closet is being put to good use since I'm getting out all the time. There's always a silver lining.

Your dress is beautiful. And I can't believe the coincidence of your story...I am also a people pleaser that says yes to people way too many times. However, my husband's name is Ryan and he unfortunately gets the no answers more often than others. But Ryan's are the best, right? :)
ReplyDeleteI love going to college a lot mostly because I get to wear all the clothes in my closet, otherwise I would probably sit in pajamas too!
ReplyDeleteYou look great - love the mustard socks peeping out of your shoes!
Those booties are fab! What's the secret to finding bootie sales at Anthropologie? Do you buy them online in the spring?
ReplyDeleteOH MAN, that dress is so darn cute! Love it.

This may be my favorite outfit of yours!!! LOVE the dress and those boots are fantastic. Lovely!! And I'm the same way, I can't say no to anyone (but Kevin and my family of course! haha) and I end up being stuck doing a bunch of stuff I don't want to. I guess it's good karma though?
ReplyDeleteOh, and I made a hair appt. :)
This is probably one of my favorite outfits on you! What a gorgeous dress. It highlights your pretty hair color and the back of the dress with the criss cross is adorable. Love it! Heather
ReplyDeleteI also have the HARDEST time saying no to anyone (even my boyfriend) so I can definitely relate! And, I love your style. I'd say that if I had the time and funds to invest in my wardrobe I would in this style direction.
ReplyDeleteThat belt is too fun! I have a much easier time saying no now, but it took a while!

I love that dress! It's hard to say "no," but it feels so good to actually do it. The best thing i, most people are usually understanding!
ReplyDeleteLove this look. Nifty Fifties with a modern touch!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so pretty, and it really stands out against the blue steps! Love that background! So cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd I COMPLETELY understand what you are saying. I'm in the same boat- working part time but somehow busier than when I was working full time. It makes no sense. I'm glad Ryan is such a supportive dude - definitely a keeper. And it's nuts how I can say no (or be mean) to my man but everyone else gets the smile. That's something I'm trying to work on.
Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica! That's so funny- our poor Ryans :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ki! There are definitely upsides to getting up and about :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't think there is a secret really- they put stuff on sale all the time. I just ordered another pair of booties online from them yesterday that were on sale :)
ReplyDeleteLol, thanks Hannah!!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks Megan!! Hopefully it's good karma- otherwise we're both just doing a bunch of shit we don't want to be for nothin :)
ReplyDeleteAnd look at you! I didn't :( Maybe seeing your lovely haircut will motivate me. Post photos! And do you have any day-of-haircut plans?
Wow, thanks so much Heather! Scored it at f21 for $12 :)
ReplyDeleteAw, what an incredibly sweet thing to say- thank you so much! You do't have to have a lot of funds though- the dress was only $12 and the jacket was like $15 :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I guess practice makes perfect- I'm just dreading the practice :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! It's true- I rarely regret saying no, but do so super rarely.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Heather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Samantha!!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely with you on that. Not sure why I feel I can be meaner to poor Ryan when he's the most supportive person in my life. I've been trying to work on that too, and slowly but surely been getting better :)
i love your dress! so cute! the back is adorable
ReplyDeletelove from San Francisco,

ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute dress, especially with the yellow socks.

Love the outfit! the dress is so pretty and the belt is super cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much- I do love this belt :)
ReplyDeleteNo way - this is a F21 dress? No stop.. tell me it can't be so! This is simply divine!!! Far too nice looking for F21.
ReplyDeleteI'll stop now :D
Sorry to say it, but it's true :) If it makes you feel any better, I barely ever find pieces that work for me there, though i see tons of other bloggers (especially Bessie from Bravoe Runway) who make it seem like a breeze!
