Skippy Says: eShakti review (Skippy Reviews)

You guys, I'm a shorty. It's sad, but oh so true. Ok, actually, it's not so sad, I quite like being a shorty. But It's definitely true. I'm almost 5''1 . . . in the morning . . . on a good day . . . when I'm wearing my furry slippers that are on a small platform. You know what else? I may have eaten nearly my weight in mashed potatoes and pie over Thanksgiving, but I'm still fairly petite. And you know what that means? I'm often sized out of so many pretty things I want to buy. Which means I either don't buy it, or I add a hefty tailoring price on top of what I'm already paying for the garment. I know, cry me a river. But I don't care what you say, it's sad.

This is exactly why I was so excited to learn about eShakti, a women's apparel online store that not only stocks sizes 0-26W, but also actually allows you to custom size your order. As in, send in your measurements, and they'll tailor-make whatever garment you order for your body. Um, yes please. Not only that, but eShakti also allows custom changes in the style of the garment - sleeve, neckline, and length can all be changed to your preference. More yes please.

I was so happy to work with eShakti to pick out a dress from their website to style for this post. My experience really was nothing short of spectacular. My questions were quickly answered, emails responded to within a matter of hours, and the dress was shipped and received less than a week after I made my selection despite the fact that I went the custom size route instead of the standard sizing route and made custom length changes as well. Sweet! I tore open the package and threw the dress as soon as it arrived. And guess what? It fit absolutely perfectly. Which is rare for me, but no surprise since eShakti made it for specifically for meeeeeeee using my measurements.

I honestly could not recommend eShakti highly enough. I'll definitely be ordering products from them in the future. And now you can too! eShakti is generously offering all Skippy Says readers $20 off their purchase by using the promo code SAYSSKIPPY0811, valid till 31st December, 2011. Guys, there is stuff on eShakti's site for like $25. Meaning you could get it for just $5. Go. You're welcome.

  16. I don't know why, but whenever I find someone who is shorter than me, I get so happy inside. I'm just a smidge taller than you, but hurrah! 64. Thank you so much for this post, and how could we not love the $20 off. However, I'm having trouble activating it. I put the code in both the "blogger code" and "privilege code" and neither are working. Could you help with the problem?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Of course! I'm so sorry- I know several others have used it successfully so I have no idea why it's not working. Let me try emailing them to found out, and I'll get back to you :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi Gina,
I emailed eShakti, and they confirmed that the promotion code is good till the end of this month. However, they said that if you had tried to club it with any other existing offer or use another gift certificate in the same order, it would have returned an error. Was that possibly the case? If not, please let me know and I'll have them look into it further :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thank you so much! And yeah, I made sure it wasn't an "Overstock Item" or "Scarf on sale" because I knew it wouldn't work then. I tried doing it several different times in both code areas and neither worked. I also didn't try to combined it with another offer, so I don't know what's going on. Thanks so much for your effort!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ok, i just emailed them again with your response. Hopefully they'll have an answer soon. So sorry about the trouble!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi Gina! So I emailed them again, and they emailed back saying:
"Could you have her go ahead and place the order and send her order # confirmation to gina@eshakti.com?
    We will assist her accordingly."
I'm assuming that means they'll just apply the promo code manually because for whatever reason it isn't working :)
