Skippy Says: No Good At Being Bad (OOTD)

I'm that girl that used to ask for a hall pass during math class so I could leave and go cry in the bathroom if I did not understand something the teacher was explaining. Truth is, I don't do too well with being bad at things. And I'm bad at math. Well, 95% of the time anyway. The other 5% something clicks, everything suddenly makes perfect sense, and I'm convinced I want to "be a calculist when I grow up." And for those of you who don't know what a "calculist" is, it's a person that does calculus stuff. DUH.

When I was in law school, I studied pretty much every second I wasn't sleeping. What? I didn't want to be bad at it. It made for a fabulous first year of marriage, just aks Ryan. After turning in a particularly long and painfully boring brief, I rewarded myself with a quick stop by Urban Outfitters on the way home. What I really needed was a hug, but Ryan was at work, so this cozy flannel shirt was the next best thing I could get.

  15. Inna, I have no idea why the hell I have never read your About Me section. Holy Moly malonkers. It's decided. You and I are now BFF. I freaking suck at math, which is so stupid because everyone thinks Asians are great in math. I made it up to Calc 2 and then decided that things were getting silly, and I didn't need to cry myself to sleep every night because of my horrid math scores. Things were much better after this realization. and cosy. as cosy as that flannel shirt.

  20. Thanks Heather! I absolutely have a really strong memory attached to almost every piece of clothing I own. And you know what's odd? Now that Ryan and I have been together for over 8 years, I bought almost every piece of clothing I own while we were dating/married, so I also have a memory attached about how he reacted to each piece when I showed it to him :)

  73. I love that you tell a story behind your outfits. LOL. You never fail to make me chuckle at your comments. As for math, I'm not the greatest but thankfully, not the worst. Thankfully, I never had to do calculus. My worst subject was accountancy. My high school teacher said that I was his first student to ever achieved a perfect 0 in his entire 30 teaching career :P I couldn't answer a single question right. hahaha...
