Skippy Says: Time Travel (OOTD)

Yesterday, my husband's family and I went to the Renaissance Faire to celebrate my brother-in-law's and his girlfriend's birthdays. Yes, the Renaissance faire. I know, I'm the epitome of cool. But you know what? There was a petting zoo. And if there's a petting zoo, I'm there. It was a particularly good petting zoo too. So good, in fact, that I didn't even feel bad pushing the little kiddies out of my way so I could get some good pets in. Oh yes I did. Judge away, but you'd do the same if you saw the donkey, baby goats, lamas, and potbelly pig. He oinked his way right into my heart.

Shop:
- Ambiance dress (really old- bought on sale circa 2004 maybe? No longer available. Buy similar here, here, or here)
- Wendy Glez cami underneath dress (I think it's actually meant to be lingerie? Bought on sale circa 2008, no longer available)
- Anthropologie belt (bought on sale, no longer available)
- Ambiance earrings (bought on sale circa 2010, no longer available)
- Necklace borrowed from mom
- Old bracelets (I think one is from a little boutique in Cape Cod and one is from Forever 21?)
- Clarks sandals (gift from my mom, buy on sale here)

  5. You belt is so great - it really adds a lot of fun to your outfit! :)

I don't like animals, so I may not enjoy a petting zoo much but glad you had fun!

  6. Your dress and belt are to die for, really really pretty. Nothing screams fall like that color. Would look cute with brown boots too.

Before I had a child, I was also one of those who went to a petting zoo. It is more fun and special when I have a little one to tag along :) Thanks so much for visiting my little bloggy.

  10. Thanks so much Nelah! You know, I've only worn it as a summer dress because it's pretty light, but you're totally right. I'm definitely going to rock it with some tights, boots, and a scarf soon :)
I bet petting zoos are more fun when you have a little one- can't wait for one day when I have mine :)

  11. Where is your Ren Fair costume?!? This is kinda ridiculous, but I really WANT to go to a Ren Fair. My specialization is Old and Medieval English, so fairs really entertain me. But there aren't any fairs close to where I live :(

  12. Bummer! You should see if you can make a trip out to the one here in the Bay Area one year- it's big and really pretty cool. I was super lame and did not get my act in time together to dress up, but many people there were in really cool costumes!
